The authors propose that individuals with a low tolerance for ambiguity will not be responsive totraditional methods for raising self-efficacy, prohibiting increases in effort and performance.Persons with a high tolerance will respond in favorably to traditional methods of influencebecause they enjoy and more effectively process complex tasks.
