2006 Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel Regulations and the Impact on Fuel Additive Use

Given the integrated nature of fuel additives and fuel production, the purpose of this paper is to present to the fuel producing community an additive industry perspective on the EPA’s Final Rule which has been enacted to limit the nitrous oxide (NOX) and particulate matter (PM) exhaust pollution from heavy duty highway engines manufactured during and after model year 2007. These rules are commonly referred to as the “2006 ULSD regulations”.
