This paper presents a practical method to estimate thestorativity ratio of a layered reservoir with cross-flow frompressure transient data. The method uses an analyticallyderived formula for the storativity ratio in terms of theseparation between the two semi-log straight lines on pressureversus log-time plot. Knowing the storativity ratio from a welltest, individual layer properties may be estimated if the layerflow rates are available from production logs. Demonstrationsof the method to estimate the storativity ratio and individuallayer properties are presented by examples. Comparison of theresults with those obtained from the existing techniques is alsoprovided to highlight the accuracy of the proposed technique.
