The forecast of passenger flux is an important part in the planning of the network of urban rail transit. With sufficient research on the scales and forms of cities and on the distributing rules of traffic outgo, and with mature models of traffic, our forecasts of the passenger flux about the schemes of the network of urban rail transit, and our comparison and analysis of the validity and rationality of the schemes of the network combinedly provide a basis of quantitative analysis for optimizing layouts of the network and choosing schemes of the network. In this paper, we use the "four-phase-method"-based "TRIPS" model, take for example the planning of the network of urban rail transit in the city of Tianjin, and put forward and prove the method in the forecast of passenger flux of the network.
