The Decomposition Characteristics of Organic Blowing Agents in NBR/PVC Medium

The decomposition characteristics of organic blowing agents in NBR/PVC medium were determined from the expansion of polymer/blowing agent compound under a constant pressure. T_d of H and OBSH decreased slightly in NBR/PVC medium. Mixture of AC and OBSH showed synergism for higher gas yield. Zinc Oxide was the most effective activator for decreasing decomposition temperature, increasing gas yield and decomposition rate. The parameters of them are useful in choice of blowing agents and foaming temperature for cellular rubber manufacture.
