A radiation resistance is an essential parameter to estimate performance indices for small antennas such as the Wheeler's radiation power factor (PF) (1), (2) and the Smith's efficiencybandwidth product (EB) (3). Hence, it has to be precisely measured. A precise measurement of the radiation resistances is possible using a network analyzer on the basis of the Wheeler cap method (4). The Wheeler cap method is also known to reduce the errors in the measurement, particularly, the systematic error (5).
