It its illustrious 150 years history, the oil industry has conjured up ingenious methods to predict fluid flow beahavior laround the extended vicinity of the wellbores. In the past decade or so, this effort got a real shot-in-the-arm with the advent of high-speed computers Depsite this mounmental development, petrolum engineers and earth scientists still struggle to merge various data sources and technologies to achieve the paramount objective: Reservoir Characterization. The DeepLook collaboration, an idea originated by BP, was contrived to address the same objective; but uniquely, through inter-company partnership.
