摘要

Isolation is one of the big problems in both technical and economic planning of power system. One of the problems is insulator degradation affected by environment pollution. Characterization of insulator degradation caused by environment pollution, can be done by artificial pollutant test, using fog test method. This paper deals with resin insulators testing with NaCl and CaCl_2 as artificial pollutant. The test results using exponential regression shows a descend of the flashover voltage implemented to estimate flashover voltage by measuring the value of (Equivalent Salt Density Deposit) ESDD at sub district in Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia.
