The tire-pavement noise becomes increasingly the most important sound source of a car with regard to the noise legislation criteria [1,2,4,9,10]. For passenger cars tire/road-noise exceeds the propulsion and the aerodynamic noise between 60 km/h To meet the legislation criteria as well as criteria set by the tire and car producers, testing is normally done either on a roller bench, on cars, or on specific trailers [8].
