This paper describes two kinds of our newly developed apparatus. One novel device is for monotonic tension and push-pull fatigue test. There are several advantages of the apparatus, including eliminating unexpected stress within test specimen, simplifying the specimen machining, and allowing for easy installation and for good loading alignment of brittle plate-shape specimens. Another apparatus for fatigue test was also developed, which is especially for reversed cyclic bending of triangular-shaped specimens. Thus, fatigue damage evolution can be inspected within an iso-stress zone of the triangular specimen surface. The feasibility of the two apparatus was proved by related experiments.
