摘要

Growth Hormone (GH) is known to be an important factor affecting the post-natal growth and the maintenance of bone mass in vertebrates. Previously we (Tseng et al., 1995 and 1998) have shown that transgenic over-expression of GH could increase bone growth and bone mass in mice, but the increase in bone mass was done at the expense of bone quality. A hypothetical imbalance between the biological environment and its mechanical environment was forwarded. To test the hypothesis, we further our results with the following study.
