This paper deals with the problem of bending of a circular plates with mixed boundary conditions in which a part of its edge is simply supported and the remainder is free, and these boundary conditions and the load are symmetrical about x-axis as shown in Fig.l. A numerical analysis of a circular plate with mixed boundary conditions including a free part is difficult in general. It would seem that such kinds of mixed boundary value problems have not so often been treated. In this paper, an improved iterative method is proposed to solve the above mentioned bending problem. The iterative method was before proposed in our previous paper.
