摘要

A new displacement modal which includes the effects of both transverse shear deformation and normal stress is presented to investigate the free vibration problem of composite laminated thick plates. The Rayleigh - Ritz free vibration solutions of the new modal are compared with the results obtained by means of YNS theory, and the influences of normal stress on the fundamental frequencies of free vibration of composite laminated thick plates with simply-supported and clamped boundaries are indicated.
