DESIGN OF CONICAL SPRING WITH CONSTANT PITCH ANGLE AND EFFECT OF PRESETTING

摘要

In this paper, the design of conical spring with constant pitch angle and its presetting are discussed. The main points are: a) a calculation method for conical spring with constant pitch angle is introduced; b) the effect of presetting of this type of spring is analyzed theoretically and verified by experiment. The conclusion is that it is not acceptable in any cases to raise the load carrying capacity of conical springs by presetting.
