Structural principles in visually guided autonomous vehicles

Proposes a framework of a neural information processingarchitecture. The authors attempt to extract the basic principles andoperations typical for neural information processing and describe ahierarchical extendible system for the problem of exploration andorientation in a natural environment as an example for an ill-posed andhighly complex problem. Realisations of the main elements of thisprocessing structure are discussed
