Evaluation of Inductance and Residual Stress of Motor Cores

The motor core is annealed in order to reduce the residual stress where occur during manufacturing process. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the magnetic property and residual stress in order to evaluate the annealing effect. In this paper, the relationships between the inductance and residual stress of the motor core are discussed. The measurement method of the inductance of the motor is examined. It was clarified that the value of the inductance increases due to decrement of the residual stress.
