Rule-based Reasoning in Onboard Devices: An Intelligent Route Guidance System

摘要

This paper described an intelligent route guidance system that implements rule-based reasoning according to integrated information in onboard devices. A knowledge base of rules is built, and a control method is designed to overcome deficiencies of embedded systems, such as small available storage and limited computing speed. A prototype system is developed and the experimental evaluation shows that it makes reasoning effective in onboard devices.
