Abnormal fluctuations of field electron current of point metal cathode covered with subatomic films of foreign matters

In this work the results of investigation of behaviour of subatomic carbon and silicon films (coating degree /spl theta/= 1 /spl divide/ 3) on the surface of niobium and uranium needle autoelectronic emitters at low-energy bombardment with H/sup +/, D/sup +/ and He/sup +/ ions are presented. The peculiar property of the selected systems was the ratio of work functions: /spl phi/ (film) > /spl phi/ (substrate).
