Leading positive change in small businesses: a collaborative approach

For small companies to successfully grow, the entrepreneur-owner typically needs to change management style to encourage leadership by others. A collaboration of Minnesota universities and colleges has developed a process to assist such companies. This paper discusses small company needs, the Manufacturing Improvement Process (MIP), and results to date.
