摘要

In this paper, we numerically investigated the relationship between self-excited bouncing vibration and flying height modulation due to micro-waviness by using a 2-DOF slider model, random micro-waviness model, and contact characteristics model, which is valid for a small rough surface coated with a thin lubricant layer. As the amount of micro-waviness increases, the slider tends to exhibit forced vibration at a dominant frequency of the higher pitch mode instead of self-excited vibration at a frequency close to the lower pitch mode frequency.
