Abstract: A joint DoD effort is in the final stages of contractacquisition to achieve a 'filmless' hospitalenvironment in the near future. Success ofimplementation lays to a large degree on an effectiveimage workstation. This paper will discuss soft copyimage display (SCID) of the MDIS system includinghardware and software. !
