The Use of Industrial Waste in the Production of Lubrication Dusts to Be Used in Steel Continuous Casting

The paper introduces the results obtained after pilot experiments on the possibilities of using wastes from steel making, energetic and construction materials industries, in siderurgy. The turning into account of wastes aimed at obtaining lubrication dust for the mold of the continuous casting machine. Dust quality influences primarily the quality of the continuous cast product surface and for this reason it has to meet certain quality requirements. The wastes under study were turned into lubrication dusts having a quality similar to the standard ones used at present, but at a 20-45% lower price.
