Nanopowders of yttria stablized zirconia (2 and 8 mol% Y_2O_3) are produce by NANOCEROX using Liquid Phase-Flame Spray Pyrolysis (L-FSP) technology. Particle size was studied using SEM and laser scattering. The primary particle size is 50-80 nm with spherical shape. Particles dispersed in DI water showed agglomerates with the size of 50-150nm. Zeta potential and pH value of 0.25wt% particle in DI water system were measured. The effect of pH and dispersant on zeta potential were studied. High density (> 99%) 2Y-TZP ceramics were achieved after low temperature (1200℃) air sintering. The strength was 1.70 ± 0.03 GPa. High density 8YSZ ceramics (> 95%) were also prepared.
