摘要

Finite elements methods are used to simulate bulk forming processes. The accuracy of the simulations is linked to the model of the tool-workpiece interface behaviour. As the raw materials have very high mechanical properties, the working temperatures can reach 1000℃ for the workpieces and about 500℃ for the dies. Consequently, heat transfer can have a great influence on the qualify of the final part, and the models have to take into account the mechanical but also the thermal behaviour of the interface to predict realistic results. Some works were made to couple the Plastic Wave Theory discussed for friction to the Thermal Contact Resistance evaluation in order to predict good thermal exchanges at the tool-workpiece interface.
