摘要

To the design of synchronous generator, some internal sizes, of which the air gap magnetic induction, are chosen from previous design experience curves. In this paper, we propose to analyze the influence of air gap magnetic induction variation upon several internal parameters of the generator, the total cost and on his efficiency. This analysis was carried of a synchronous generator of 300 kVA, using MathCad an optimal designing program intended to elaborate conclusions regarding the optimal values of the air gap magnetic induction, which must be adopted in the design of synchronous generator.
