A three-dimensional NumErical Wave TANK (NEWTANK) has beendeveloped to study the viscous fluid sloshing in a container. The modelsolves the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations for the two-phaseflow field. In order to track the highly distorted interface between waterand air, the volume-of-fluid (VOF) method is adopted. The internalbaffles will be simulated by the immersed boundary (IB) method.Several case studies have been conducted to verify the model accuracy.The verified model is then used to study the 2-D and 3-D viscous fluidsloshing in a container, with and without baffles.
