摘要

In this case study, the environment is understood as a dynamic system consisting of all the interacting parts of city residents' living environment, which include water supply, waste (sewerage, excreta, solid waste, and air pollution) management, drainage and flood control, transportation system, housing, and food sanitation. The indices of urban environmental system related public life and health are: the supply ratio and quality of tap water, discharging amount of wastewater and excreta, treatment ratio of wastewater, ratio of disposed or utilized solid wastes, atmospheric TSP and lead level, drainage pipeline popularization and drainage capacity of pumping stations, flood control standards, modes of residents' transportation and traffic facilities, average housing area per capita, and qualified ratio of food hygiene.
