Tests were conducted to determine the resistance to wear of three fast track concretes at four age categories; namely, opening to traffic; and 3, 7, and 28 days. Both ASTM Types Ⅰ and Ⅲ Portland cement were utilized. The trial matrices were examined for plastic and bulk properties, and resistance to wear. The influence of matrix constituents and proportions, curing age, and testing duration (up to 20 minutes or 3 mm, whichever was reached first) were determined. Other properties, namely: rate of abrasion, relative gain of abrasion, coefficient of variation, and abrasion index were examined.
