The study the climatic conditions before and after the start of operation of the NPP that is constructed in the region of Juragua reviewed a vital importance, for the protection of the population as well as the environment. The seasonal, annual and periodic variation of the meteorological parameters plays a determinate role in the climate. The objective of this work was the obtaining of the meteorological characterization of the NPP site, as well as a source of reliable data for the evaluation of the radiological impact of this installation in case of accident or emergency states. The data of the last five years (1989-1993) of synoptic observations were taken as starting data. A specialized software (CLIMA version 1.0) was design for the information prosecution and the average and extreme values of different variables were obtained from this software. The Pasquill stability categories were also evaluated, using the wind fluctuation method, that reflects the atmospheric turbulence.
