THE CENTRAL BANK OF GENERALIZED DATA OF THE CHERNOBYL ACCIDENT CONSEQUENCES

Within the limits of the information analytic support of Russia government bodies an information management system was created [1]. It includes: Central bank of generalized data, Bank of models, Information systems for federal and local authorities intercommunicated with information systems of departments and scientific data banks. The analysis of many phenomena demanded retrospective data collection. In that way, banks of primary data were created. The Central Bank of Generalized Data comprises the following subdivisions including factual, documentary and personal data and also electronic maps bank. Within 5 years of the central data bank functioning a great volume of data (over 1.5 GB) was collected. In the data bank on radiological and sanitary situation the information has been accumulated for about 10,000 settlements belonging to 17 regions of Russia such as Bryansk, Kaluga, Tula and others. The number of data types (fields) is about 250 for each settlement. These data have been collected from more than 300 information sources. The main data groups include populated area name, administrative code and geographical coordinates; social and economic development data; data on types of protection measures used; data on soil and milk contamination by radionuclides; data on measured population internal and external exposure doses; estimates of expected -population exposure doses; data on doses for making decision. Data collected cover the period from 1986 till 1995. All the data are accompanied by bibliographic reference data fields.
