摘要

The laminar convective heat transfer in the axisymmetry periodically converging-diverging tube is numerically simulated in this paper. A finite volume solver with SIMPLE algorithm and QUICK scheme is used. The computational results are analyzed in view of the field synergy. The effects of different geometrical shape and mass flux on convective heat transfer intensity are studied emphatically. And the characteristics of heat transfer enhancement in the tube are obtained. It is found that the appropriate geometrical parameters will lead to optimistic heat transfer performance. Different from former work, the same inlet profiles of velocity and temperature are given, which is the important basis of comparison of heat transfer performance among different converging-diverging tubes. And the conclusions obtained are valuable to both the further research and the industrial application.
