The selective precipitation of Ti component was investigated, as an example of new technique to recovery value-nonferrous metla components (VNMC) from metallurgical slags. It was confirmed that the efficient precipitation of VNMC was depended on their proper precipitating feature and the optimum operation factors. The effects of chemical composition, temperature for heat treatment, cooling rate and additive agent on the precipitating behavior of the Perovskite phase in the higher titania bearing blast furnace slags were studied in order to approach the selective precipitation of VNMC from the slags and to fulfill the goal of efficient recovery.
