STUDY ON APPLICATION OF SANDY GRAVEL TO GUDONGKOU CONCRETE FACED ROCKFILL DAM

摘要

Gudongkou Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam (hereinafter referred to as Gudongkou Dam), over 100m in height, is primarily filled with sandy gravel. As demonstrated by the results of the laboratory and in-situ testing analysis of sandy gravel, the definite element calculation of the dam body, and the deformation observation thereof, it is not only cost-effective but also safe and reliable to fill concrete faced rockfill dam with sandy gravel provided with proper handling process.
