摘要

The paper presents results of three dimensional numerical simulation of a pulverised coal fired boiler working under different operating conditions using burners out of service for full and partial load. NO emissions are predicted using two approaches to describe NO formation from char. The relative importance of the NO formed from volatiles and char is discussed as well as the results from both approaches. The results show the model capability of describing the influence of using the upper row of burners out of service with overfire air. The limitations in the predictions of the cases concerned with the use of the lower row of burners out of service are discussed.
