A preliminary study on new petroleum exploration theories of 21st century―Petroleum pool-forming dynamics of basin

Enlightened by the progress of exploration theories at home and abroad, the petroleum pool-forming dynamics of basin is proposed in order to promote 21st century's petroleum exploration. In this paper, the concept and connotation of the petroleum pool-forming dynamics of basin is clarified firstly, then, choosing petroleum system as the major unit and conducting analysis of time and space are proposed to conduct a detailed analysis of the process for petroleum pool formation by using the viewpoints and methods of systematology on the basis of the regional geological setting and the study on geodynamics as well as the qualitative and quantitative analysis of 'three fields' of basin. The targets are pushing for the combinations of static and dynamic, time and space, today and ancient, then, to summarize the petroleum pool-forming models of basin and the favorable positions so as to provide scientific basis for drawing up drilling scheme. The above all contents are hoped in this paper to be realized in virtue of the physical simulation in laboratory and the computer numerical simulation.
