The ~(15)N isotope was employed to determine effects of deferent nitrogenous sources on accumulation and distribution of total nitrogen and nicotine contents in flue-cured tobacco. The results showed that total nitrogen content of aboveground (upper, middle, lower leaves and stalk) were decreased obviously, and its range was upper leaves > middle leaves > lower leaves > stalk; nicotine content of each part were increased distinctly, and its range was also upper leaves > middle leaves > lower leaves > stalk. Total nitrogen of aboveground parts rapidly accumulated from 21d to 73d after transplanted, which came from fertilizer much more than from soil mineralization at final harvest. Nicotine of aboveground parts accumulated rapidly from 50d to the end of growing period, with N source primarily from soil mineralization.
