The Sysstems Engineering Life-Cycle process Functional working Group A Government/Industrial Partnership

The Department of Defense (DoD) has recognized the relationship between good systems engineering and products that meet the customers' needs. The DoD Joint Logistics Commanders (JLC) Joint Grup on Systems Engineering (JGSE) has commissioned a new functional working grup called, Systems Engineering Life Cycle Process (SELCP). In July, SELCP sponsored a Systems Engineering worksphop in san Diego. The attendees ware experts in systems and software engineering from industry, academia, INCOSE, IEEE and government. The issues associated with this new paradigm were discussed, a forward action plan was developed and expectations for continued cooperation were assured.
