Discuss on Application of Tubular Bus in 220kV Transformer Substation

Application of the distribution unit with tubular bus has been very widespread abroad, however, its application in China has been limited for its higher cost. Along with strengthening of the national strength of this country and increasing of the requisition fee of land for building transformer substation, application of tubular bus in production and construction is increasing year by year now, and will take a dominant position in type selection of distribution units. Combining type selection of 220kV Gubo transformer substation, the paper present the feasibility to use tubular bus by analysis and comparison of the features of the distribution unit in Gubo transformer substation, and do comparison between flexible bus and tubular bus in selection of material, current-carrying capacity, calculation of strength and deflection, selection of metalware, and measures resistant to breeze vibration.
