IntServ(Integrated Services), DiffServ(Differentiated Services) and IntServ over DiffServ are IP QoS(Quality of Service) mechanisms proposed by IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force). Considering the characteristics of IntServ and DiffServ, it is efficient to use IntServ over DiffServ that combines these two mechanisms. Currently, however, only frameworks for IntServ and DiffServ are defined and parameters for their implementation are left for network operators to decide. Since appropriate sets of parameters vary according to network conditions and choosing them requires considerable knowledge of the network, some kind of guideline is necessary. In this research, WFQ(Weighted Fair Queuing) is proposed to be a suitable queuing algorithm for IntServ boundary routers in the IntServ over DiffServ network Also, a separate service class NC(Network Class) is defined for RSVP messages that play an important role in the implementation of the network In addition, an appropriate set of WFQ parameters for the NC class is proposed.
