The application of artificial intelligence(AI) technique in the mineral industry has been developed rapidly in recent years. However, almost the whole applications are focused on the single AI. A comprehensive AI system has been developed for selection of mining technology system in this paper. The function of the expert system (ES) system lies in searching feasible mining technology alternatives, its key point is the knowledge base. The artificial neural network (ANN) system is applied to determine the weight value of the various factors that will be used to evaluate the feasible mining technology. The fuzzy logic is applied to optimize the feasible mining technology alternatives that have been obtained from the ES. The genetic algorithms (GA) is applied to select and optimize the size and numbers of the shovels and trucks in the mine. This system has been applied to Pingshuo coal mining district.
