Strengthen the Harbor Trade to Accelerate Dalian's Construction of a Major International Shipping Center of Northeast Asia

First, the paper introduces the decision of the Central Committee to develop Dalian into a major international shipping center of northeast Asia Then it points out that harbor trade, an indispensable function of integral logistics service can promote competitive ability of Dalian Port and thus accelerate Dalian's construction of a major international shipping center of northeast Asia. After studies the advantages for Dalian to strengthen the harbor trade, the paper designs the pattern for Dalian to strengthen harbor trade, which is to establish Dalian Harbor Entrepot in the old port district under the cooperation of Dalian Free Trade Zone (DFTZ) and Dalian Port. And the functions of Harbor Fjitrepot are also given. At last, the paper analyses the Meaning of the establishment of Dalian Harbor Entrepot and gives some advices on the establishment of Dalian Harbor Entrepot.
