A series of experiments have been made onf the parameters of foam patterns,Such as: Kinds of beads material,specifications and molding density,which influences lost foam casting's quality.Results shown: During the lost casting process,the pattern beads material is one of the main factors influencing the final casting quality.According to the type';s of EPC cast metal,there are various suitable foam pattern beads materials respectively.For cast iron and nonferrous cast metal (for example: cast Aluminum),the expandable polystyene beads are suitabel,and copoly beads material are suitable for SG iron castings; For cast iron and SG iron,the modlign density needs to be controled in the range of 20 g/l approx 24 g/l as possible; For Aluminum castings; the molding density are controled in the range of 20 g/l approx 24 g/l.
