High-performance Hot Work Die Steel

摘要

Hot work die steels HD and HD2 working at 700℃ were developed. Effects of alloying elements and mechanical properties of these steels were investigated. It was shown that strength, plasticity and toughness at high temperature and fracture toughness at room temperature of HD steel are superior than mat of 3Cr2V8V steel, and properties of HD2 are superior than that of HD. Working life of dies made of HD2 is more than doubled compared with those made of 3Cr2W8V under severe working condition at high temperature.
