Modeling Oil Spills in Areas of Complex Topography

摘要

This work triggered from the recently signed memorandum of collaboration among Greece, Russia and Bulgaria for the construction of the Burgas - Alexandroupolis oil pipeline, and deals with the development and the application of a pre-operational management tool for the Thracian Sea. The tool is a part of the Poseidon system which has been designed to provide real-time data and forecasts for marine environmental conditions in the Greek Seas.
