CWS is a rebum fuel that is comparable to natural gas in regard to NO_x reduction performance. It is the low cost NO_x control technique for cyclone users that have nearby coal pond fines that are owned by the utility. Cyclone users that have nearby sources of waste coal preparation plant fines can apply CWS Reburning for a very low operating cost or even a savings. The cost of the CWS Reburn fuel is of course the economic driving force for the technology. Low cost coal fines from coal preparation plants are the feedstocks of choice to provide a low cost CWS Rebum fuel.A commercial demonstration of CWS Reburning technology needs to be completed in the near future to provide a low cost proven technology for the electric utility industry that can be widely applied to cyclone units to meet the NO_x emission limits that come into effect in the year 2000.
