Design and Decoding of Polar Codes with a Mixture of Reed-Solomon and Arikan Kernels

摘要

In this paper a construction method for polar codes with mixed Reed-Solomon and Arikan kernels is proposed. A decoding algorithm for the proposed codes is also presented, which provides lower decoding latency compared to the case of Arikan polar codes with the same performance.
