The purpose of this work was to contribute the pulse generator for the homemade functional electrical stimulation (FES) design with the practical use for basic rehabilitation and assistive devices such as limb activation or advanced usages such as stroke and spinal cord injury (SCI) patient based on brain damage. The proposed FES system consists of four sections, i.e. pulse generator, the voltage generator, H-bridge, and stimulation part. A self-adhesive electrode with carbon conductive was suggested for stimulation pad. The dependability and performance of the proposed pulse generator and FES circuit will be investigated. Nevertheless, the long stimulating time can provoke the muscle fatigue. This situation is not apparently related to stimulating waveform pattern and circuit board design that still need to be further examined.
