Development of a Pilot Line for the Manufacturing Validation of LEP Display Technologies and Technology Transfer

Cambridge Display Technology (CDT) has set up a 14' glass pilot line to develop advanced technology, manufacturing processes and infrastructure for Light Emitting Polymer (LEP) displays. Several key machine sets and software systems are in use to ensure efficient knowledge capture, fault finding, and yield and lifetime improvement. This maximises CDT's ability to transfer technology efficiently to licensees the knowledge gained in the form of characterised process packages, reducing their time to production.
