摘要

A special reflector for direct-type backlight module to improve the light efficiency has been developed. With the special reflector, the backlight system proposed has the feature of high light efficiency and high brightness. The main idea of our reflector design is to re-direct the light of CCFL in lateral direction to a direction around the normal direction. Adding special protrusions to the surface of a conventional reflector achieve this effect. Experiment results show a 33% increment of luminance flux has been achieved.
