Vehicle theft count comprises a major portion of the total incidents of crime today. The researchers and vehicle manufacturers throughout the world have been working on various theories to come up with a device that helps to curb this menace. The existing systems are beyond the limit of masses and thousands of vehicles are still being stolen daily. The Bluetooth-enabled cost-effective solution has been made to protect the vehicles. This paper attempts to utilize two physically disjoint units in conjunction with each other, an intention to provide a fool-proof mechanism against vehicle theft. A prototype was made using arduino, fingerprint sensor and Bluetooth. Android smart phones are being used to design for the user interface that allows access of the vehicle to an intended person only.
